Due to strong wind on the A7 motorway between the Rijeka istok and Šmrika junctions, on the part of the DC8 Adriatic road Bakar-Senj, on the DC99 state road between the Križišće junction and Križišće as well as on the LC58107 Kraljevica-Križišće local road there is a traffic ban on: doubledeckers, trailers and motorcycles, from Karlobag to Sveta Marija Magdalena on the DC8 on the delivery vans and vehicles with covered cargo area too.
Traffic is dense in cities and on their bypass roads.
During the day difficulties can occur in roadwork areas - in Istria on the A8 highway between the Učka junction and Učka tunnel in both directions, on the DC1 Solin-Klis highway.
A broken-down freight vehicle on the A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway between the Vidovci and Levačica tunnels in direction Zagreb!
Drivers are invited to adjust the speed and the way of driving to the road conditions and to keep distance!
Traffic restrictions:
A1 Zagreb-Ploče-Karamatići motorway:
-until 12 June traffic is suspended between the Bisko and Split junctions in direction Zagreb, detour: Bisko junction (A1 exit)-DC220-ŽC6260-ŽC6145-DC1-Dugopolje/Split; possible A1 entrance at the Dugopolje paytoll in direction Zagreb, impossible A1 entrance at the Bisko junction in direction Zagreb; traffic jams should be expected at the Bisko and Split paytolls;
-8-15 April 00.01am-4am at the Split junction traffic is suspended one night for 15 minutes in both directions;
A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway:
-14, 15 and 16 April, 21, 22 and 23 April 8pm-5am traffic is suspended between the Krapina and Trakošćan junctions in both directions, detour: DC1 state road;
A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway:
-until 30 June at the Zagreb zapad junction from direction Lipovac (A3) towards Zagreb, from direction Bregana (A3) and Macelj (A2) towards Zagreb (Sava bridge-Jankomir) traffic is flowing in one lane only;
-until 20 April 1am-5am at the Zagreb zapad junction traffic is suspended for 15 minutes from direction Lipovac towards the A2 motorway;
-1-8 April 00.01am-5am traffic is suspended for 15 minutes at the Bregana paytoll in both directions as well as at the Goričan paytoll in both directions due to abnormal load;
-7-8 April at the Kraljeva Velika rest area between the Lipovljani and Kutina junctions in direction Zagreb one lane is free only;
-8-17 April at the Slavonski Brod zapad junction towards Zagreb one lane is free only;
-8 April-13 May between the Popovača and Kutina junctions 93rd-90th km towards Zagreb traffic is flowing in reduced lanes;
A4 Zagreb-Goričan motorway:
A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway:
-until 25 May on the section Čavle-Kikovica 75th-72nd km one lane is free only in each direction;
-8 April-12 June between the Bosiljevo 2 and Vrbovsko junctions at the Zečeve Drage viaduct one lane is free only in each direction;
A7 Rupa-Rijeka motorway:
-10-12 April 9am-3pm at the Matulji junction one lane is free only, traffic is occasionally suspended for 15 minutes;
A8/A9 highway in Istria
-due to roadwork between the Učka tunnel and the Matulji junction temporary traffic regulation has been put into place, detour options for personal vehicles: DC500 Vranja state road-Šušnjevica-Vozilići, ŽC5047 Vranja county road-Veprinac-Matulji;
-traffic jams are possible between the Učka junction (A7) and Učka tunnel in both directions;
-between the Kanfanar and Medaki junctions at the Limska Draga viaduct there is a traffic ban on abnormal load larger than 3,3 m in both directions;
DC1 Solin-Klis highway:
-due to roadwork between the Mravince and Klis Grlo tunnels traffic is proceeding in one lane only in each direction until 1 May;
DC44 Livade-Istarske Toplice state road:
-until 20 June traffic is suspended on the section Livade-Istarske Toplice;
DC62 Zagvozd-Vrgorac state road:
-traffic is suspended until 16 March;
DC75 Novigrad-Poreč state road:
-until 20 June traffic is closed on the section Tar-Bašarinka;
DC76 Sveti Ilija tunnel:
-until 12 April 8pm-5am traffic is suspended, detour for the A1 motorway for direction Šestanovac junction-Baška Voda: Šestanovac junction-Dubci, Dubci-Baška Voda, for direction Vrgorac-Baška Voda: Vrgorac junction-Makarska, Makarska-Baška Voda, for the state roads: Zagvozd-Šestanovac, Šestanovac-Dubci, Dubci-Baška Voda;
DC116 Hvar-Stari Grad state road:
-9-11 April 10pm-5am traffic is closed at the Selca-Dubovica tunnel, detour: Hvar-Brusje-Stari Grad regional road;
DC512 state road:
- due to rock sliding traffic is suspended at the Stupica tunnel towards Vrgorac;
DC553 Omiš bypass road:
-until 11 April 8pm-5am traffic is suspended, detour: DC8 Adriatic road/DC70 state road.
Due to winter driving conditions there is a traffic ban on freight vehicles with trailers and all other vehicles have to use the winter equipment on the following roads of the Lika mountain area:
DC42 Josipdol-Saborsko- Selište Drežničko
DC429 Smoljanac-Prijeboj.
At the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro a new system of entering/exiting the country (so called Entry/Exit System - EES) is applied. It means that apart from having travel documents biometric passenger data will be collected (four fingerprints and face photo). The law does not refer to EU citizens.
Notifications about waiting time at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Access to cameras at border crossings is provided on the Croatian Automobile Club website.
Until 31 December 2026 at the Erdut-Bogojevo border crossing there is a traffic ban on freight vehicles exceeding 7,5 tonnes.
The Gunja-Brčko border crossing is closed for all traffic, detour: Županja-Orašje border crossing.
At the Ilok-Bačka Palanka bridge traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 24 tonnes (driving speed limit of 30 km/h).
Starting 3 Junly 2023 international traffic is possible at the Slivno-Drinovačko Brdo border crossing.
Transit freight traffic is suspended at the Tovarnik/Šid border crossing, detour: Bajakovo border crossing.
Traffic is suspended for vehicles whose maximum weight exceeds 7,5 tonnes at the Pribanjci-Vinica border crossing on the DC204 state road.
The Dvor and Vitaljina border crossings are open for pedestrians and passenger traffic only.
The border crossings for the international maritime traffic are: Umag, Pula, Mali Lošinj, Vis, Ubli and Cavtat (Book of Regulations on border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, pubblished at the Narodne novine, 2 January
2023).
In ferry traffic there are no difficulties.

Traffic restrictions for transit freight vehicles through Croatia:
-For freight vehicle exceeding 7,5 tonnes there is a traffic ban on the DC414 state road from DC8-DC414 intersection to Prapratno junction as well as from Prapratno junction to Komarna junction (Pelješac bridge and its access roads).
-According to the Book of regulations for public road transit traffic, freight vehicles heavier than 7,5 tonnes without a trailer/with a trailer longer than 14 m are allowed to use the following roads:
